Taking the back road (Estrada Nacional)

1. Take the A2 motorway towards the Algarve, take the exit Sines/Grândola (N120).
2. Follow the road(N120) towards, Algarve. As you pass the town, Aljezur, you will see, on the right side of the the road, a sign indicating Sagres (1st reference point), continue on the same road heading to Lagos.
3. After a few Kms you will reach another sign on your right side(2nd reference point) reading Sagres/Alfambras, keep on the same road, just after the sign there is  a house, and right after that house you will see the sign indicating Alto da Lua.
4. Turn right, and follow the dirt road until you reach Alto da Lua.

Taking the Motorway A2

1. Take the A2 motorway towards the Algarve, follow the A2 until you reach its end.
2. As you reach the end you should take the Via do Infante (A22), towards Portimão/Lagos.
3. Once again, follow the A22 until the end, heading towards, Aljezur/Sines.
4. After exiting the A22, you will reach a roundabout, take the road towards Ajezur.
5. After 8,2 Kms you should see a long house on both sides of the road.
6. On the left side of the road, just before the house, you will see the sign indicating Alto da Lua.
7. Turn left, and follow the dirt road until you reach Alto da Lua.
