At distances ranging from 8 to 20 kilometers the wide choice of beaches of all types is enough to suit even the most demanding sunseeker. There are wild and isolated small ones like Vale Figueiras (10 km away), Canal or others some with no name at all where even during the peak summer periods you can enjoy absolute peace. If you're into surfing then the reknown Carrapateira, Amado or Arrifana will make your day. And if what you're looking for is a more cosmopolitan or mediterranean type of beach there are many near Lagos like Meia-Praia, Praia da Luz or D.Ana beaches.
